Roof Top Solar systems do not require a significant amount of maintenance. Cleaning the solar panels is required a few times a year, with the frequency depending of the environmental conditions. Dirty solar panels can significantly reduce the power production of the panels. Less light will reach the panels resulting in reduced electrical output.

The inverters and lithium-ion batteries do not require significant maintenance, if any. However checking that that cabling is still in order, and that there is no evidence of any deterioration in the effectiveness of the system will be helpful to catch issues before they result in a failure. Lead Acid batteries may require more intensive maintenance and care, depending on the exact batteries used.

Adding onto an existing system can be tricky depending on the nature of the equipment used. Clean Earth Energy will be able to investigate what is installed, and what options are available for improvement.
