HI! I am Lafras Heron.

My formal education is in Industrial Engineering. I spent many years in the field of engineering and the project management of industrial projects.

I was fortunate to be given an opportunity to enter the world of software development with a focus on industrial engineering and industry. After 6 years working as a software implementation engineer, I resigned and returned to industry.

A retrenchment was the catalyst for me to begin working for myself. First as a small food business and later full time as a software developer, again with the focus on industry and business.

The dire state of the South African electrical supply, combined with a passion for renewable and alternative energy sources has led me to a shift into the solar industry and setting up Clean Earth Energy. I have completed a solar system design and installation course at the Green Solar Academy. I have my PV Green Card certifying that I am a qualified Solar Installer.
